Chapter 01 · The Land

Made here. For here.

ThatStupidComputer is built in the Ozarks, for the kind of small businesses that operate across Northwest Arkansas and Southwest Missouri. Limestone bluffs, slow rivers, small towns, big reputations. The psychology of the region shaped how every site gets built.

Small business owners here share a common set of instincts. They value craft over flash. They trust names over logos. They prefer one person who actually does the work over an agency with a layer of account managers between the problem and the fix.

Every design decision on this site was made with that audience in front of the keyboard. No stock photography. No fabricated testimonials. No marketing speak that could apply to any business. The voice is deliberate. The evidence is verifiable. The work is owned by one engineer who answers the phone.

Chapter 02 · The Craft

One engineer. Every line.

Every page on every client site is hand coded by Joseph Anady personally. No account managers. No offshored developers. No template platforms. Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business certified on federal record. Bachelor of Arts in computer engineering. Master of Arts in cybersecurity. One hundred thirty plus production sites deployed since 2020.

The craft orientation matters structurally, not just aesthetically. A hand coded site ships with only the code it actually needs. A template site ships with code written for ten thousand imagined sites, with the one you actually need assembled from parts. The first loads in under one second. The second loads in three to five seconds and locks you into the platform's update cadence.

Hand coded also means verifiable. Every line lives in a git repository you can request access to. Every file on the server is one you own. Nothing is rented. Nothing can be revoked by a platform decision you had no part in making.

Chapter 03 · The Framework

Fourteen tiers. One hundred twelve checks.

The fourteen tier engine optimization framework turns the craft into a repeatable discipline. One hundred twelve individual optimizations. Eighty five fully automated on every site. Every tier maps to a specific retrieval channel: Google organic, Google Business Profile, Bing, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Google AI Overviews, and voice assistants.

Traditional SEO checklists were written for a single channel world. Google organic was the only retrieval system that mattered. That world ended in 2024. In 2026, AI Overviews appear on fifty to sixty percent of US searches. ChatGPT cites roughly ten links per response. Perplexity crawls fresh every query. Voice assistants handle a material share of local intent.

The fourteen tier framework exists because a generic SEO checklist now covers maybe forty percent of the available retrieval surface. The other sixty percent requires specific work: answer capsules under every H2, speakable schema, llms.txt and llms-full.txt, Person schema for named authors, entity resolution via sameAs across multiple knowledge graphs, and Bing Webmaster integration for ChatGPT citation eligibility.

Chapter 04 · The Proof

Eleven clients. Every live.

The eleven paying clients currently on retainers or live engagements span tax, insurance, martial arts, real estate, medical, cleaning, hospitality, flooring, plumbing, and fishing verticals. Every site is hand coded. Every site passes the one hundred twenty six check quality gate. Every site is hosted on our own Debian plus Nginx infrastructure. Every outcome is verifiable through direct contact with the business.

Case studies for every paying client are published at the portfolio page. Each includes the business context, the architecture decisions, the tier coverage at launch, and the measurable outcome. WeCoverUSA saw five times lead volume. Heritage Hardwood Floors tripled organic leads and retired paid ad spend. White River Cabins closed the first demo and bookings grew forty percent within ninety days.

Beyond the paying engagements, one hundred plus portfolio builds across industries document the range of work. Every card on the portfolio page links directly to a live deployment. Google the phrase Crafted by ThatDeveloperGuy.com to independently verify attribution across the network.

Chapter 05 · The Invitation

Your business belongs on this list.

The path from reading this page to being a paying client is short and free to start. A free audit returns a plain document in forty eight hours. A conversation on the phone clarifies fit. A free demo site deployed to a subdomain shows what your actual site would look like. Only if all three feel right does the build start. No cost and no obligation at any point before you decide.

Builds start at $797 for a hand coded Custom Website with on page SEO and Answer Engine Optimization. The most popular tier is the $997 Full Digital Presence which adds Google Business Profile, Google Search Console, GA4, and conversion psychology. Heavier tiers add e-commerce, multi audience paths, CRM, booking automation, and priority support. Monthly retainers for ongoing optimization run $250 to $500 depending on scope.

Veteran, first responder, and fellow SDVOSB discounts apply across every tier at fifteen percent off. Federal set aside work is accepted under SDVOSB contracting rules with current SAM.gov and vetcert.va.gov registrations.
